Searching for Faith

God, today I resonate with the desperate cry in the Gospel, "I believe, help my unbelief." Sometimes I think I operate my life out of more doubt than faith. And yet I want to believe...and I do believe.

I'm a complex creature. At times I can believe with my head, while my body is still locked into patterns of skepticism and doubt. Faith is not yet in my muscles, my bones, my glands.

Increase faith within me, O Lord. I'm sure that for faith to grow you will put me in situations where I'll need resources beyond myself. I submit to this process.

Will this mean moving out on behalf of others, praying for them and trusting you to work in them? If so, then show me the who, what, when, and where, and I will seek to act at your bidding. Throughout I am trusting you to take me from faith to faith - from the faith I do have to the faith that I am in the process of receiving.

Thank you for hearing my prayer. Amen.

	Other Links

Greeters/Ushers: Welcome everyone with a smile and a warm handshake. Pass out bulletins, take the offering, help members and guests.

Acolytes: Light the altar candles. Min. age 10.

Worship Leader: Welcomes, brings announcements and leads some parts of the worship services including greetings & offering.

Altar Flowers: Provide flower arrangements for Sunday service.

Bread Loaves: Pass the bread boxes to collect funds to help the poor and support the Conneaut Food Pantry. Children K-5.

Communion Stewards & Servers: Prepare communion elements and serve communion.

Prayer Ministers: Pray with the pastor for the worship service before the services and minister to those who desire prayers at the end of the service. Also pray at special prayer sessions.

Sound Technician: Operates the sound system.

Multi-Media Ministers: Operate the video projector and computer and run Power Point presentation during worship services. Design and create Power Point presentations.

Computer Maintenance: Address the computer malfunctions or problems as needs arise.

Graphics: Create worship images for the sermon, the song backgrounds, bulletin covers, or banners around the church.

Bulletins/ Newsletter: Make copies, fold, insert, sort, collate. Support office staff.

Decorators: Change altar cloths according to the calendar, prepare the candles, decorate the sanctuary and the building for the season, and maintain the bulletin boards.

Worship programming Team: Design dynamic worship services. Opportunities include music, drama, video recording, testimonies, altar decoration, multi-sensory worship.

Baptism / Membership: Help with setup of baptism / membership.

Worship: Plan the worship services for the Christian year and oversee the worship programming team and Sunday servants.

Webmaster/Computer: Website development, Website maintenance, Data entry.
